Pink is an upcoming Indian Hindi film directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and produced by Rashmi Sharma and Shoojit Sircar. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang. It is the first hindi film directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.
Bachchan has returned in another thriller — a courtroom drama this time. In upcoming movie Pink, Bachchan plays a lawyer arguing the case of three women (including Taapsee Pannu) who are held by the police on an attempt to murder charge.
The trailer, however, also provides a telling indictment of the way in which survivors of sexual assault are victimized by the legal process: Bachchan's character asks Taapsee's questions about her sexual history, what happened between her and the attacker; while another lawyer asks one of the women if she has been soliciting sex.
